Vic,  this is just a fabulous collection of pictures I've been wanting to see since the first time we went to Cape Breton.  Over the years I've only seen a couple of winter pictures so this was very unexpected and such a joy to see and read.  I recognized many of the spots and with your narrative can picture them more clearly.   The best shot for me was the final one of Cape Smokey that Jim Steele submitted.  I also am enjoying his daily sunrise pictures and today's is just so awesome.

We have been enjoying sunny weather this past month or more but as I sit at my desk looking out at Blue Mountain and the ski hills I can still see a bit of snow.  The ski hills have all now closed but just last week someone skied down the mountains in the morning and water skied on Georgian Bay in the afternoon.

take care and enjoy your trips this season.  We will be heading to our trailer May 1 but I will be back and forth to our apartment often to check my emails so I'll keep an eye peeled for future essays.

Subject: new photo essay up

There’s a new photo essay up at <http://www.cbchoices.com> (click on the photos link when you get there); this time, the photos aren’t mine,
but were supplied by five Cape Breton photographers who have kindly allowed them to be used in this essay. I predict you’ll see some scenes you have never before seen. Thanks again to Mike Little for hosting the essays.
