John Allan Cameron's vrsion of Four Mary's

Thank you for your individual comments. You point out the different versions available and I presume John Allan may have chosen a bit of each to come up with his own version. I don't knowif John Allan ever included it in his recordings. If so, maybe I could pick it up from there if I knew which recording it was. Thanks folks. I may get more answers.

There are innumerable versions of this song, which IIRC is a Childe ballad.  I don't know if any single one of them can claim to be the right one or the original one.  It's like keeping track of all the variations of Barbara Allen.  Just going by memory, I think JAC used the same lyrics as Joan Baez, but it has been a few years since I have listened to either.
