Speaking of Marys, I'm watching Mary Jane Lamond on "Live Ay Five" right now!  :-)

As for "Four Marys" by John Allan Cameron, legend has it that it was  originally called "Mary Hamilton". On the CD that I have John Allan sings it pretty much as it's printed here: http://lyricsplayground.com/alpha/songs/f/fourmarys.shtml except I think he says "Beaton" instead of "Wheaton".
I've always sung it "Wheaton" but I may have been influenced by the fact that my oldest child's first school teacher was "Mrs Wheaton"!  :-)
