That is indeed a great loss!  He was such a talented musician. Never had the pleasure of meeting him but I've played his music many, many times on my radio show. Max MacDonald sent me about 5 CDs back in 1998 when I first started broadcasting (about the same time I joined this group) and Jerry's was one of them. If it was a record or cassette, it would be worn out by now!!
You can be sure I will be playing one or more of his tunes tonight!!
