Sad news indeed. I saw Jerry Holland at the ICONS festival in Canton,
Massachusetts last September. At one particular peformance during that
weekend, the audience demanded three encores. I've never been so moved by a
performance before or since. He was so very humble in receiving three
standing ovations. Even though his encores were cutting into the time for
the next performers, those that followed him were standing and cheering with
everyone else. The admiration not only from fans but from fellow musicians
was truly amazing to see and it just showed how much he was admired by
everyone. Godspeed Jerry.
