I'm ashamed of how Mairi was treated.  We once had Brenda Stubbert down and she was similarly harassed at the border, although she did get through.  My son spent some time as a member of the Glengarry Bhoys, and being an American and having to frequently go both ways across the border with a Canadian band, I know he ran into all kinds of hassles.  I'm all for urging our government to look at this problem.

My New Hampshire congressman happens to be a professional musician, so I'm sure he would be sympathetic.  I will write to him next week and see if I can get him involved in this issue.  It would be very helpful if someone could collect the details of Mairi's experience and post them.
