Nova Scotia native Natalie MacMaster  has been nominated for a Grammy.

MacMaster appears along with artists  like Diana Krall, Alison Krauss 
and James Taylor, on Yo-Yo Ma &  Friends: Songs Of Joy And Peace (Sony 
Classical).

The album was  nominated for Best Classical Crossover Album.

The fiddler from Troy,  Inverness County, was nominated for a Grammy 
in 2001 for best traditional  folk album for My Roots are  Showing.
