The Cape Breton Gaelic Society will present an Evening of Celtic
Music tonight, August 25, at 8 p.m. at St. George's Church, 199
Charlotte St., Sydney.
Performers include: Kayla Bona on fiddle, guitar and vocals; Gaelic
singer Morag Burke; piper John Grant; Richard MacAulay on flute;
Chris McDonald on guitar and vocals; Susan MacEachern on piano; Joe
Peter MacLean on fiddle; singer Neil MacPhee; Gaelic singers Jamie
MacNeil, Rod C. MacNeil and Jim MacNeil; singer Stewart MacNeil;
Lawrence Martell on fiddle; Allie Mombourquette on fiddle, and
mandolin; Bradley Murphy on piano; Jayne Olson on Celtic flute and
Monica MacNeil on soprano saxophone.
Tickets are $10 at the door. All proceeds go to Gaelic language
courses and scholarships.
