Hello Vic
unluckily I'm not such a sociable guy, so I've but few friends, and none of them is interested in Celtic music;
neither my wife nor my daughters are, so I nourish my musical passion in spiritual loneliness,
avoiding to bore them with my preferred tunes.
This is why I can't offer to you any first-hand information about Celtic music in Italy:
I can only refer some links of some interest for you: only few of them have english text,
but anyway you can at least get a picture of the variety of events, bands, festivals and fairs
that take place all year round especially in Northern Italy (where some Celt tribes lived some 2000 or 3000 years ago).
http://www.celticavda.org/ (About Celtic music and festivals, English text too)
http://www.celticaravan.com/en/ ("A journey through time, places, music and living traditions, seeking a Celtic heritage in contemporary Europe")
http://www.trigallia.com/ (Only in Italian, sorry, but there are maybe useful links)
http://www.celticworld.it/ (notwithstanding the name, it's only in Italian, but it gives you some good links
and the visual idea of the various fields of interest of Italian Celtic fans)
http://www.shamrock.it/ (the official site of an Italian celtic music band; once again only in Italian!)
Let me send to you and your family my warmest good whishes for this Christmas and the New Year!
Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo!
